Customs officers in Ruse seize over half kilo of marihuana

On July 15, 2009, the mobile group for fight against drug traffic with the District Customs Directorate in Ruse (North Bulgaria) executed a check on a car with Bulgarian registration.
The vehicle was travelling from the Netherlands to Bulgaria.
Authorities made an overall check on the vehicle and the four passengers. Within the check of a 68-year-old woman, customs officers found a package full of green leaves, attached around her waist. The woman explained that the package bought in the Netherlands contains herbs that heal pains in the back. The drug test made on the spot revealed that the green substance is marihuana. The drug haul waits 0.557 kilos.
