Customs officers at the Kalotina border checkpoint seized 3,160 boxes of Eva Slims cigarettes, which lacked the required excise label.
In the early hours of Tuesday morning, the mobile group for surveillance and control, consisting of customs and border police officers, detected four bundles all covered with scotch tape and full of cigarettes without excise label placed near the railway station in the town of Dragoman, Western Bulgaria.
It is supposed that the cigarettes haul has been discharged from the freight train travelling from Serbia to Bulgaria.
A statement over customs violation has been drawn against unknown perpetrator.
