Customs officers in Kalotina seize imitation of world brands

More than 1,500 textile items - man's shirts, trousers and pairs of jeans with market price of more than BGN 150,000 have been seized in a thorough customs check-up executed by the officers at the Kalotina customs checkpoint.
The clothes bear the logos of world popular brands and come under the Marks and Geographical Indications Act.
Customs officers seized 1,031 TRUSSARDY trousers, 108 YVES SAINT LAURENT shirts and 382 pairs of VERSACE JEANS COUTURE.
All the items bore the logos of the popular brands and faked "Made in Italy" tags.
The customs check-up revealed that such items have not been produced in Italy.
The fake clothes were transported in a heavy-freight TIR truck with Serbian registration, travelling from Serbia to Greece.
Authorities have alarmed the right-holders of the abovementioned brands.
