Customs inspectors in Lesovo seize 135 ancient coins

Lesovo. Customs inspectors at Lesovo customs checkpoint seized 135 ancient coins in the frames of a check-up on a Bulgarian car entering the territory of the country from Turkey, the press office of the National Customs Agency reports.
The car was driven by 41-year-old Turkish national, who has a permit for temporary stay in Bulgaria. When crossing the border, the man said he has nothing to declare before the customs. However, during a thorough customs check-up, authorities found the coins hidden in the personal luggage. The 135 coins were divided into 12 plastic bags, covered with scotch tape.
The 41-year-old smuggler was drawn a statement for violation under the Customs Act. The case has been referred to the competent authorities.
