Internet troubles hamper work at Kalotina border checkpoint

2010-06-15
Breakdown in the internet connection at Kalotina border checkpoint hampered the work in the late afternoon on Sunday. The data processing to the customs systems was stopped because of the lack of internet connection.
The customs administration has moved promptly to emergency procedures for the processing of customs documents, allowing continued operation even with low admission regime.
This morning the connection and proper functioning of the checkpoint have been recovered. The queue of freight vehicles amassed after the breakdown has already been handled according to the requirements for border and customs control rules and the technical facilities of the post.
