Customs Ruse issues 1,602 tobacco trade permits

Customs Ruse finalized the campaign for registration of commercial outlets designed for tobacco products sale under the requirements of the Excise Duty and Tax Warehouse Act.
The Customs Ruse has processed 1,067 applications filed by juridicial persons and has issued a total of 1,602 permits in the district of Ruse, Razgrad, Targovishte and Silistra. 34 applications were rejected.
The traders should know that tobacco products sake requires permit issued by the territorial customs in charge of the district.
Traders selling tobacco products without a permit will be imposed fined of BGN 15,000 for physical persons and BGN 50,000 for juridical persons.
The joint check-ups of customs, police and border police officers at markets, commercial outlets and vehicles continue. As a result of these actions, authorities have detained several persons over trade with cigarettes without excise label. 35 bottles of high-spirit alcohol has been seized from a warehouse, as well as 394 cigars and cigarillos, all with expired excise label.
