More 210,000 boxes of cigarettes seized at Oryahovo checkpoint

Customs officers in the area of Oryahovo Ferry border have seized another truck with illegal cigarettes, the National Customs Agency announced. The truck was stopped at the checkpoint at around 21.00pm last night.
Customs officers selected for inspection truck, traveling from Greece to Romania. The truck was with Bulgarian license plate, but was driven by a Greek citizen with Kazakh passport. According to documents the truck was loaded with chips.
In custom detailed check the customs officers have found that between the boxes of chips are hidden boxes of cigarettes. The total amount of the cigarettes in the truck was 210,000 boxes, or 4.2 million pieces. Cigarettes were with "duty free" inscription. According to the inscriptions on the boxes the cigarettes were produced in a Baltic factory.
