Fake brand clothes seized by customs officers in Ruse

Ruse. 739 sports textile items, imitations of protected brands, have been seized by customs officers in the Northern town of Ruse, the National Customs Agency reports.
At around 6 p.m. on July 15, customs officers at Danube Bridge border checkpoint stopped for a check-up a car with Romanian registration, driven by a Romanian national. During the check, authorities found 272 Puma and 467 Adidas sports sets.
The driver did not have any documents for the origin of the goods.
All items have been confiscated and the case will be referred to the District Prosecution Office.
Bulgarian authorities will alarm the holders of the rights under the Council Regulation (EC) No 1383/2003 and the Marks and Geographical Indications Act.
