Customs officers at Lesovo checkpoint bust 2 meat smuggling attempts

Customs inspectors at the Lesovo customs checkpoint hampered two meat smuggling attempts.
Authorities seized 350 kilos of raw meat, which lacked the required origin certificates and documents.
The meat was found within thorough check on two cars with Bulgarian registration travelling to Turkey.
The two vehicles transporting the illegal meat were busted at around 5 a.m. on Sunday. They arrived at the checkpoint in around 10-minute interval.
Both drivers said they have nothing to declare before the customs. However, the customs check detected the meat, which was put in cars' trunks.
