Four ancient items, seized at Kalotina border crossing are authentic

The four ancient items that were seized at Kalotina border checkpoint on Saturday are genuine, press centre of the National Customs Agency announced. That shows the first archeologists' expertise reports. Some of the items are dated from II - III century some are from the new era.
So far there is no information for the items to be stolen from museum exhibitions or to be part of the registered private collection. Further expertises are to be made for more accurate date of the items.
On Saturday - August 28 customs officers on duty at Kalotna border checkpoint seized four ancient items hidden in the luggage of passengers travelling from Turkey to Germany. The smuggled items were carefully wrapped with napkins and put on the bottom of the suitcase of K.Y.
