Plovdiv Customs officers found sale of cigarettes without required permit

Sale of cigarettes without the required permit was established by customs officers in Plovdiv. The customs officers checked out three commercial sites in the region of Plovdiv, the National Customs Agency reported. In a joint inspection of officers from Plovdiv Customs Office and regional customs mobile teams were established three commercial sites that sell tobacco products without the compulsory license issued by the Customs Agency. The three stores are owned by one company. The customs officers found a total of 72,260 pieces (3,613 boxes) of cigarettes of various brands, 3855 grams of smoking tobacco, 135 cigars and 250 cigarillos.
The administrative penalty for such violation is equivalent to BGN 50 000 fine for each of the stores, withdrawal of the products and a fine of 200% of excise duty payable.
