Around 9 mln cigarettes seized at Kulata border checkpoint last night

Some 44,855 cartons or 897 standard master-boxes of cigarettes have been seized by customs officers at Kulata border checkpoint on Wednesday. The illegal tobacco products were found in a truck transporting plastic materials.
The vehicle was with Greek registration and was travelling from Greece to Romania.
Authorities found and confiscated 9,366 cartons of Pearl Slims, 15,549 cartons of Tobaccos Slims and 19,940 cartons Prima Lux.
All cigarettes were confiscated. Materials on the case have been referred to the competent authorities.
