Seized truck at Kulata crossing loaded with 1269 master-boxes of smuggled cigarettes

The truck that was stopped at Kulata border checkpoint has been transporting 1269 master-boxes, or 634,500 boxes of smuggled cigarettes, press centre of the National Customs Agency announced.
The amount due from excise duty for these cigarettes runs at almost BGN 2 million.
The Bulgarian truck that was travelling from Greece to Germany was selected for a check by employees of Customs Southwest Office and Border Police. According to documents the truck should be loaded with electricity panels, but after scanning check it turned out that the trailer of the truck is loaded with cigarettes.
