TIR truck with smuggled cigarettes intended for Bulgaria seized at Kulata crossing

A TIR truck with cigarettes intended for Bulgaria has been stopped by customs officers at Kulata border checkpoint, press centre of the National Customs Agency announced.
According to preliminary data the truck is loaded with about 900 master cases of cigarettes. The TIR truck is with Bulgarian license plate and is driven by a Bulgarian national. It was travelling on the route Greece - Bulgaria. The truck was stopped for a detailed check at Kulata crossing where it was checked for emigrants under the "beating heart" scanning by the Border Police officers. During the check it emerged that the truck was loaded with smuggled cigarettes instead of electric panels as it was written in the documentation.
