Customs officers seized 134 master-boxes of cigarettes at the Kulata border checkpoint overnight. The cigarettes were transported by two mini-buses.
An hour before midnight the customs officers selected a mini-bus with Bulgarian registration for a check-up. The vehicle was transporting parcels with personal luggage, mainly cloths from Greece to Bulgaria. During the check, authorities found 52 master-boxes of cigarettes of different brands, including Capital and Manchester, all without excise stamps.
A couple of hours later the customs officers stopped another mini-bus for check-up. The vehicle was coming from Greece. According to the documents it was supposed to transport blankets. However, it turned out that the blankets were used as camouflage to hide 82 master-boxes of Raquel Slims cigarettes.
