18,080 pieces of cigarettes seized at Kalotina customs checkpoint

Some 18,080 pieces /904 boxes/ of cigarettes have been seized by customs officers at the Kalotina customs checkpoint during the weekend.
In the frames of a routine check-up on a freight vehicle registered in the city of Pazardzhik, traveling from Germany to Bulgaria, customs authorities found and confiscated 190 boxes of cigarettes wit Serbian excise stamp (Eva Slims, Viceroy), hidden under a bed in a bag covered with clothes.
In another check-upon International train No 491, traveling from Serbia to Bulgaria, customs officers found 714 boxes of cigarettes (Trocadero, Monus, Pall Mall and others).
