Large amount of contraband perfumes seized at Lesovo customs checkpoint

Customs officers at Lesovo checkpoint have seized a total of 1,557 contraband perfumes in the frames of a thorough check on three freight vehicles with Romanian registration entering the territory of the country from Turkey. Authorities have drawn statements for violations under the Customs Act against three Romanian nationals.
The illegal perfumes were hidden in different places in the driver's cabins of the vehicles.
They bear the logos of popular brands, such as „D&G", „Paco Rabanne", „Chanel", „Armani", „Dior", „Lancome", "Givenchy", and others.
Customs officers at Lesovo and Malko Tarnovo customs checkpoints also hampered two smuggling attempts from Turkey.
In the first case customs authorities seized some 587 undeclared cell phone accessories in a mini-bus with Hungarian registration.
Meanwhile, customs officers at Lesovo checkpoint found and confiscated 4,000 pieces (200 boxes) of cigarettes in a truck driven by a Romanian national.
