Customs officers at Lesovo, Malko Tarnovo checkpoints foil 3 cigarette smuggling attempts

Customs officers at Lesovo and Malko Tarnovo checkpoints foiled three separate cigarette smuggling attempts from Turkey, the press office of the National Customs Agency informed.
Authorities have seized some 25,900 pieces (1,295) boxes of cigarettes of the L&M, King, Karelia and Ashima brands, all without excise stamps.
Three statements of violations under the Customs Act have been drawn against 2 Bulgarian and one Romanian nationals.
Some 14,000 pieces of smuggled cigarettes have been found in the frames of a thorough check on a passenger's bus crossing the Malko Tarnovo customs checkpoint. The bus was transporting Romanian tourists and was travelling from Turkey to Romania.
Other 11,900 pieces of smuggled cigarettes have been seized at Lesovo customs checkpoint in a check on two cars entering Bulgaria from Turkey.
