National Customs Agency to open training centre in coastal town of Balchik

Bulgaria's National Customs Agency (NCA) opened a training centre in the coastal town of Balchik and launched a training course for the first group of trainees.
The group consists of newly-appointed customs officers with juridical or technical education, who will undergo a 7-month training course for a specialisation for the work in mobile customs teams.
The group consists of 40 people, selected among 500 candidates.
The training is under the general rules of the EU, while the training programme is worked out by experts from 8 EU countries, including Bulgaria.
The course includes theoretical and practical exercises, as well as courses in self-defence and fighting tactics.
"You are the best candidates. Today is your first working day in a prestigious administration and it is all up to you to become part of this prestige," NCA Director Vanyo Tanov said in his address to the trainees.
