Smuggled cigarettes seized in 15 cars crossing Lesovo checkpoint

Some 21,730 pieces of smuggled cigarettes and 301 pairs of jeans of world popular brands have been seized at the Lesovo and Malko Tarnovo checkpoints for a week.
Customs inspectors at the Lesovo customs checkpoint have seized some 21,230 pieces of illegal cigarettes and around 2 kilos of hand-rolling tobacco during checks on 15 cars. All of the vehicles were travelling from Turkey to Bulgaria. The illegal cigarettes were found in secret compartments in vehicles' roofs, doors, engines, seats, ventilation systems, and etc.
In the frames of a check on a passenger's bus the customs officers at Lesovo found 301 pairs of jeans of world popular brands - G-Star, Diesel and Gucci.
Authorities have drawn 16 statements for violation under the Customs Act.
