Romanian woman tries to smuggle fake perfumes through Kaptain Andreevo crossing presenting herself as police officer


Kaptain Andreevo. Romanian citizen tried to smuggle fake perfumes through Kaptain Andreevo border checkpoint, presenting herself as a police officer. That is what press centre of the National Customs Agency (NCA) announced.
24-year woman S.V. arrived from Turkey with a car marked on the windscreen as connected with the police and driven by a Turkish citizen. She declared to the customs officials 400 perfumes and identified herself with Romanian police badge and business card. She insisted passing through the border without inspection and without any documents to be made for the goods securing payment of public debts in the country or in Romania. Customs officials found that perfumes are obviously false and explained that will seize them under the provisions of the Law on Marks and Geographical Indications. This enraged the woman and she began uttering insults and threats of dismissal to the customs officers.
Initial examination showed that she is a press attaché of a non-governmental Police Press Association in Romania, a police badge, with which she tried to cross the border, is owned by her father - a retired policeman.
