Father and his son arrested for drug trafficking

Customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo border checkpoint seized 12.560 kg of heroin, press centre of National Customs Agency (NCA) reported.
49-year-old M.T. and his 31-year-old son of Roma origin were arrested when entering Bulgaria from Turkey. The packs of drugs were found in special compartments in the back doors of the car. That quantity of drugs amounts at over BGN 1,5 million. The father who was driving the car said he was unaware about the found packages. In subsequent operation carried by General Directorate Combating Organized Crime (GDCOC) were arrested one Bulgarian and one Turkish citizen who were also involved in the trafficking.
