Nearly one master-case of illegal cigarettes and 7kg tobacco seized at Sofia Airport

A passionate lover of tobacco has been leaving the country, traveling to England when in X-ray examination of his luggage customs officers noticed boxes of cigarette, the National Customs Agency announced. The customs officers pulled out from the three bags of the passenger total of 330 boxes of cigarettes of the brand L & B, Super Kings, and 12 packs of bulk tobacco Golden Virginia of 400 g each, more 24 packs of bulk tobacco Golden Virginia of 40 g each, 26 packs of bulk tobacco Golden Virginia of 25 g each and 14 packages of bulk tobacco Old Holbarn of 40 g each. The 47-year-old Englishman S.U. explained that he had not seen signage at the airport and his friends in England had assured him that he can carry as many as he wants cigarettes in his luggage. The passenger was charged for customs violation.
