Around 3,000 boxes of cigarettes seized from international train


During a check on an international cargo train travelling from Serbian to Bulgaria , Bulgarian customs officers at the Kalotina checkpoint found and confiscated 2,890 boxes of illegal cigarettes. Part of the cigarettes were hidden in a hallow space under one of the carriages. They were packed in 8 black bags.
The check continued until the Dragoman railway station where at the presence of a representative of the Bulgarian State Railways (BDZ) and the officer on duty of the Transport Police dismantled one of the seals of one of the carriages and found other 5 cardboard boxes of cigarettes, packed in black bags.
The cigarettes were of the brands LD Blue, LD Red, Classic 100 and Classic Slims, Dunhill, Phillip Morris Silver and others, all with Serbian excise stamp.
