Customs officers from Sofia Airport Customs, with the anti-narcotics unit at the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Department, carried out a special operation codenamed Pineapples in the winter resort of Bansko during the FIS Men's Alpine Skiing World Cup Bansko 2012.
During the world cup the customs officers carried an operation against synthetic drug distribution in the town of Bansko.
The operation started 10 days ago when authorities detained an express delivery of synthetic drug from Portugal.
On February 18 authorities searched a store in Bansko and found different kinds of high-risk narcotic substances - synthetic cannabis, JWН-081, MDPV, and others. Two Bulgarians - a man and a woman from Sofia, were arrested.
