Bulgarian customs seize smuggled anabolic steroids

2012-10-15
Customs officers at the Malko Tarnovo customs checkpoint foiled an attempt of smuggling 2,899 shots and tablets of dangerous anabolic steroids on the territory of the country from Turkey.
Authorities found and confiscated some 2,000 Аnapolon pills, one of the most dangerous steroids, and 899 ampoules of Primobolan Depot, which is also used in weight-loss diets. Both products are very dangerous, and if taken without prescription, they can serious harm people's health.
The illegal shipment was found in a hidden compartment under the spare tyre of a car with Turkish registration, driven by a 42-year-old Bulgarian from the Northern Bulgarian town of Silistra, who was travelling with his family from Turkey to Bulgaria.
