Some 21 kilometres of fabrics, stamped with the images of princes and Winnie-the-Pooh, will be destroyed under the control of the Customs Plovdiv. The fake fabrics with Disney characters will be cut under the supervision of the holders of the rights of the brand.
The large amount of fake fabrics was seized by the officers with Customs Plovdiv in the end of June. The fabrics and towels were transported by a truck from Turkey. After a risk analysis the customs officers selected the vehicle for thorough check in which authorities detected the fake goods.
Authorities seized 388 rolls of fabrics, at the total length of 45 kilometres, which is enough to cover the road from Plovdiv to the resort town of Bankya.
