Customs officers trained to fight human trafficking, endangered species trade

On September 18019, 2012, at the initiative of the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds (BSPB) Bulgaria's capital city Sofia will host a seminar themed "Prevention of wild animals trafficking".
The training aims at introducing Bulgarian customs officers to the crimes against the wild nature and more precisely - endangered species trafficking and illegal trade.
The seminar will organised in the frames of the BSPB's LIFE+ "Save the Raptors" and LIFE+ "The return of the Neophron" projects, co-financed by the European Commission.
The main speaker at the event is the leading expert Guy Clark, Head of the UK Border Agency CITES team and its unit at the Heathrow Airport. Guy Clark has led dozens of trainings around the world on this issue and now he is invited by the BSPB to train representatives of Bulgarian customs.
