Bulgarian customs to destroy 1,080 fake children’s socks

Some 1,080 socks, replicas of popular children's brand, will be destroyed by the Customs - Svilengrad tomorrow.
The fake items are imitations of the Hello Kitty brand and were aimed for the Bulgarian market. The shipment was seized by the customs inspectors at the Kapitan Andreevo customs checkpoint on April 28, 2012 under a violation of the Marks and Geographical Indications Act.
In 2011 the Bulgarian customs seized some 777 fake items.
The socks will be destroyed at the presence of the representative of the holder of the rights on the original brand.
