420l rakia packed as vinegar seized at Vidin Ferryboat

On July 9 a mobile customs group with the territorial customs unit in the town of Lom carried out a check on a freight vehicle in the region of Vidin Ferryboat border checkpoint. According to one of the bills of lading the vehicle was transporting vinegar to a big hypermarkets chain in Great Britain. Authorities, however, got suspicions and carried out a thorough check. When opening one of the vinegar bottles officers were surprised that the liquid smelled like rakia (Bulgarian brandy).
Authorities seized a total of 35 boxes each with 12 bottles or a total of 420 litres of rakia.
