Svilengrad Customs seize nearly 500 fake perfumes

Customs officers at the Kapitan Andreevo checkpoint seized large amount of fake perfumes and toilet waters worth more than BGN 70,000.
Some 490 bottles of perfumes and toilet waters with the logos of world popular brands (Gucci Guilty, Lancome, Christian Dior, Bvlgari, Givenchy) were found during a thorough check on a passenger's bus with tourists travelling from Turkey to Romania and passing transit through Bulgaria.
The perfumes belonged to the two Romanian drivers and were put in a hidden compartment behind the back fender of the bus. The smuggled goods were detected in an x-ray scan on the vehicle.
235 more perfumes were seized from the same bus from a Romanian citizen, who had declared the shipment. He was very surprised to learn that the perfumes purchased at the market in Istanbul were fake and subject of confiscation.
In another case, during a check on a freight vehicle with Bulgarian registration customs officers found 1,000 metal labels with logos of Adidas, as well as 327 children and women's blouses, men's shirts and trousers of the brands Armani, Chanel, Roberto Cavalli, Guess, D&G, Adidas, Pepe Jeans and others.
