Information to the accession of Croatia to the European Union is already published on the official website of the Bulgarian Customs Agency. This document has been produced by the Commission services in order to provide useful information on the EU enlargement in 2013 for customs administrations, economic operators and other interested parties. The information given is mainly related to the customs union. In addition, the Annexes contain information on VAT and excise duties.

NOTE FOR THE ATTENTION OF THE DELEGATES OF THE CUSTOMS CODE COMMITTEE "FORMALITIES" SECTION AND "TRANSIT" SECTION

Croatia sent to the Commission some information related with the competence of their customs offices that could imply that traders may face problems at the border crossing points of Neum as "Klek and Zaton Doli do not have roles of departure, destination (for transit) and exit (for export procedure)". Indeed, the Croatia authorities indicated that the customs offices at Neum corridor have only the following roles:

"- Klek - TRA, DES (and EXS, ENS for safety and security)

- Zaton Doli - TRA (and EXS, ENS for safety and security)

Moreover, there are no forwarding agents at border crossing points Klek and Zaton Doli."

It would be recommended that this information be passed to the traders who wish to use the border crossing points of Neum.
