Svilengrad Customs Office destroys nearly 1 million pieces of contraband cigarettes

Nearly 1 million pieces of contraband cigarettes and 13.65 kg of smoking tobacco were destroyed under the supervision of Svilengrad Customs Office. The destruction was made by mechanical cutting of the boxes of cigarettes. The majority of the cigarettes were seized by customs officials in 2011 for violations at the Bulgarian-Greek border checkpoint Kapitan Petko Voivode. The cigarettes were of various brands.
