Customs officers bust 134,000 pieces of cigarettes in double doors of mini-van at Kulata

On the night of August 21 to August 22 the border police officers stopped for a check a mini-van with Bulgarian registration, which entered on the territory of Bulgaria from Greece. The driver was a Romanian national. Authorities noticed that the vehicle was empty, while the driver explained that he unloaded the goods in Greece.
After following check and dismantling of a double door customs officers found a total of 134,000 pieces of cigarettes without excise stamps hidden inside the double-bottom door.
The cigarettes were of the Jin Ling and Marble brand.
The driver was arrested and a pre-court proceeding has been initiated.
