Bulgaria customs’ management meets with alcohol producers, importers

On Friday, November 1, the Central Customs Directorate hosted a meeting between the management of the National Customs Agency (NCA) and representatives of alcoholic liquor producers and importers.
The business was represented by Nick Soper, Director of European Affair at Scotch Whisky Association; Ralitsa Skorcheva, manager of Maxxium Bulgaria; and Pepi Petrova, logistics manager and excise goods expert.
At the meeting, the representatives of alcoholic liquor producers and importers expressed their satisfaction with the opportunity for the alcoholic liquor stamped with the old form of the excise stamp (valid until 31.12.2013) to be realised until 31.12.2014.
The participants in the meeting also discussed other issues connected to the alcoholic liquor market, which can be realised before the end of 2014.
National Customs Agency Director, Kiril Zhelev, assured the representatives of the economic operators that the customs administration would follow closely and observe the process and would exchange information with the business with regard to the possibility to take timely actions.
