Bulgaria’s Customs Agency integrates information modules under OPAC project

On January 9, 2014 there was a closing conference on the implementation of the project for "Improvement of the administrative services of the customs administration through the establishment of mechanisms for electronic management and constant monitoring of the administrative production" under a contract for gratuitous financial assistance under the OP Administrative Capacity (OPAC), financed by the EU through the European Social Fund with the National Customs Agency as a beneficiary.
NCA Deputy Director Lachezar Krastev greeted the participants in the conference, stressing that in times of financial and economic crisis the support from the European Social Fund, provided under OPAC, was a highly valuable instrument and source with alternative for the financing of efficient mechanisms for the improvement of the work of the customs administration.
Since 2009 until now the National Customs Agency has been a beneficiary of five projects under OPAC, while four more contracts are expected to be signed.
