Romanian woman tried to smuggle 10,000 pieces of illegal cigarettes through the Danube Bridge border checkpoint

Customs officers seized 10,000 cigarettes without Bulgarian excise stamps. Romanian citizen tried to carry tobacco products from Bulgaria to Romania through Danube Bridge border crossing by car "Volkswagen". During the inspection customs inspectors found in different cavities in the car are hidden stacks cigarette brand "Ashima".

Total of 500 boxes of cigarettes are removed from hiding places, all marked "DUTY FREE". The value of excise duty on the confiscated amount is 1872.50 lev Romanian citizen woman driving the vehicle was arrested. Customs investigator forms inquest in connection with the case.
