Two attempts for carrying pseudoephedrine and anabolic steroids were prevented by customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo checpoint



Customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo checkpoint seized nearly 21 000 tablets pseudoephedrine. The pseudoephedrine (precursor for the production of methamphetamine) was found in the entering the country Polish car driven by a Polish citizen. In a detailed check customs officers found behind the driver's seat large black plastic bag with 1500 blister tablets of the medication "CIRRUS", legally produced in Turkey. The total weight of the detainee precursor 8 kg.

A pre-court proceeding was initiated.

Since the beginning of 2014 that is the sixth attempt for illegal trafficking of chemicals in Bulgaria, prevented by customs officers. The total amount exceeds 355 kg.

Later on by the method of risk analysis Kapitan Andreevo for a detailed customs check was selected entering the country bus with Bulgarian registration, traveling on regular lines Turkey - Bulgaria. In examining customs officers found under the driver's seat two bags with a total of 1240 ampoules of anabolic steroids. 910 of them were 200 milligram vials of injectable anabolic androgenic steroid "Trenabol". Another 250 vials are labeled "Andro" and 80 ampoules are labeled "Boldebal". All three drugs have been designed to build massive muscles. Anabolic steroids are very dangerous to health if not taken under medical prescription and prolonged use, which leads not only to physical, but also mental health consequences.
