Embargoed oil of Iran were stopped at attempt EU entry by customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo BCP

Attempt  to introduce and transported  prohibited petroleum of  Iran in the EU were prevented by customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo BCP. 46,900 kg of petroleum oils in 232 metal barrels were transported in two trucks with Bulgarian registration, traveling from Iran.  The carrier has submitted documents that oil comes from the United Arab Emirates. In compliance with EU Regulation №267/2012 customs officers take samples for laboratory examination to clarify the origin of oil. Examination shows that goods are petroleum oils within the prohibited to transport within the European Community . Trucks were sent back to Turkey.
