Over 2 tons of illegal brandy (rakia) revealed the customs officers in Haskovo

A mobile customs team revealed 2,2 tons of illegal brandy (rakia) in Haskovo. The customs officers ascertained eight 120-liter drums of the above mentioned alcohol drink in the garage of a private property in Haskovo. There were found also many ready for sale tubes of 40 % vol. rakia with no documents.

The illicit alcohol was detained, samples for conducting a laboratory analysis were taken from it and an administrative offence act will be issued against the owner.

With a cooperation of the Ministry of Interior, it was ascertained that the owner of that property has been arrested for possession of illegal cigarettes and tobacco in the past.
