Thousands of textile products, sneakers and perfumes with the logo of famous brands were destroyed under the customs surveillance of Customs House Svilengrad

Thousands of clothes, sports shoes and perfumes with the logo of famous brands were destroyed under the surveillance of Svilengrad Customs House. 1000 textile products including T-shirts, jackets and tracksuits, 300 pairs of sports shoes, and dozens of accessories like bags and belts were cut with a machine and 1500 perfumes were crushed.

The most of the textiles goods  and  sports shoes are counterfeits of  the world famous brands „Tommy Hilfiger", „Adidas", „Puma" and „Nike". Perfumes are counterfeits of  the world famous brands „Boss", „Coco Chanel", „Armani", „Dolce&Gabana" и „Versace".

The fake products were detained by customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo BCP during attempts to be transferred in violation of the Law on Trademarks and Geographical Indications. The goods were intended for sale on the Bulgarian market and in other member states of the European Union.

From the beginning of the year under the customs surveillance of Svilengrad Customs House were destroyed 17 381 textiles, over 2000 sports shoes, 5 289 perfume, 495 batteries and 200 watches, infringing intellectual property rights.
