Nearly 1300 liters of illegal alcohol was discovered by customs officials in a private property


A husband and wife turned their home into a warehouse for storage of illegal excise goods, ascertained customs authorities while inspecting a private property in the village of Grozden.

Customs officials discovered 126 10 and 11-liter tubes of brandy (rakia), stored in a shed, located in the yard of the family house. The total amount of the illegal drink, which was found by the customs authorities, is 1299 liters. 96 packs of cigarettes of "Palladium" brand and 5 packs of "Diva Slims" brand were discovered in the house. The wife admitted that the cigarettes belonged to her. Two administrative offence acts will be drawn up.
