Customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo BCP found 5 000 pieces of smuggled cigarettes and 2 kg smoking tobacco hidden in all sorts of places in a car

Smuggled cigarettes and smoking tobacco were found in three different places in a car entering the country from Turkey. The car "Volkswagen Passat" with Bulgarian registration was driven by a Bulgarian citizen. The man declared 250 kg dried apricots. The car is selected for scrutiny. Customs officers found 250 boxes / 5000 pieces / cigarettes „MM classic" and „Karelia"   without excise labels in the engine compartment, rear seat and the trunk of blinds. Exposed cigarettes were owned by the driver.

Tobacco products were seized. The case was initiated proceedings by investigating customs inspector at Svilengrad Customs House.

Dried apricots are also seized because of the missing certificate of the origin.
