Dozens of thousands of pseudoephedrine tablets were seized by the customs officials at Kapitan Andreevo BCP

The customs officials at Kapitan Andreevo BCP seized 28 560 pseudoephedrine tablets from an entering the country passenger bus with Bulgarian License Plates, which was travelling from Turkey to Bulgaria. During the detailed customs inspection of the vehicle, in the baggage compartment, the customs authorities discovered a valise full of 2 040 blisters with 28 560 tablets of legally produced in Turkey medicament "Cirrus". It is meant for treatment of sinusitis, but its trafficking is illegal, because of the existence of pseudoephedrine inside it.

The total weight of the seized precursor is 10, 850 kg.

A Pre-trial procedure was initiated.

During the investigative actions after the seizure, a Bulgarian citizen was detained.
