Customs officials at Danube Bridge BCP seized a big quantity of smuggled auto parts

Customs officials at Danube Bridge BCP found a big quantity of smuggled new auto parts, while inspecting the luggage compartment of a passenger bus, travelling from Istanbul to Bucharest. The one of the drivers has admitted that he has bought the auto parts from Turkey and he has planned to transport it to Romania, from where the delivery of the good was requested in advance. It was ascertained that the total value of the discovered nearly 800 auto parts of different type is about 10 000 BGN. The driver has admitted that he has tried to smuggle the good on the territory of EU with the intention to sale it.

The violator was issued a criminal offence act. All the smuggled auto parts were detained in the warehouse of Rousse Customs House. Cases like this are an often practice, the customs officials inform. Only for the last 30 days, this is the 5th such case, detected at Danube Bridge BCP.
