467 kg of cut tobacco, hidden underneath animal food packets, were seized at Danube Bridge 2 Vidin-Kalafat BCP

Customs officials of a mobile customs team to Lom Customs House seized 467 kg of cut tobacco, hidden underneath granulated animal food packets. The illegal good was detected at Danube Bridge 2 Vidin-Kalafat BCP in a freight vehicle, transporting shipments to EU countries. Customs officials, cooperated by officers of Border Police-Vidin, stopped the vehicle, in order to conduct a customs inspection. During the search of the freight automobile, the customs officials detected 54 cases, containing full of cut tobacco black plastic bags, hidden underneath the animal food packets on three of the pallets.

The number of the discovered and seized cases is 54, with a total weight of 467 kg of cut tobacco inside them.

A Pre-trial procedure was initiated. The details, related to the case, are being clarified.
