The customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo BCP seized over a quarter million pieces of illegal cigarettes during the weekend.

 13 998 packs (279 960 pieces) of illegal cigarettes were seized during the weekend by the customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo BCP.

1030 packs (20 600 pieces) of „President" and „Karelia" cigarettes, concealed in three suitcases, were found in an entering the country from Turkey passenger bus with Bulgarian License Plates. The bus was inspected by customs officers of the mobile teams to the Central Customs Directorate. It was ascertained that the suitcases belonged to a 56 years old man, living in Plovdiv. He claimed that he bought the illegal cigarettes for a personal use.

During the night shift at Kapitan Andreevo BCP, the customs officers seized 5066 packs (101 320 pieces) of illegal cigarettes. This quantity of cigarettes was found in a passenger bus with Turkish License Plates, traveling from Turkey to Romania, through Bulgaria. The cigarettes belonged to 10 passengers, who were traveling in the bus.

During another customs inspection of a passenger bus with Turkish License Plates, the customs officers found 630 packs (12 600 pieces) of illegal „Karelia" and „LM" cigarettes. It was ascertained that the discovered cigarettes belonged to the bus attendant.

All the cigarettes were seized. The violators were issued Administrative Offence Acts.
