Thousands of fake sports goods were destroyed under the customs surveillance of Customs office Svilengrad



5713 pcs of counterfeit textile articles, including 3 256 sports sets, 1186 sweatshirts , 851 T-shirts and 420 pairs of stockings with the logo of  „Nike" and „Adidas" were cut with a machine under the control of the Customs office Svilengrad. In the process of destruction are included 1445 sports shoes also with the logo of „Nike" and „Adidas"as well as 3 300 labels with logo of  „Nike".

The goods were intended for sale on the Bulgarian market and in other member states of the European Union.

The imitation products were detained by customs inspectors at Kapitan Andreevo BCP.

From the beginning of the 2015 were destroyed over 20,000 fake textile products, 7000 perfumes and 15 000 the belt.

For six months this year customs officers of Customs office Svilengrad were seized over 115 000 articles (perfumes, clothes, bags and purses) suspected of infringing intellectual property rights of world famous brands. Nearly 90 000 were seized textiles and just over 10 000 perfumes. Counterfeit goods originated mainly from Turkey and China. Most often detained clothes and garments are fakes with brand of Nike, Adidas, Armani, Nokia, Tommy Hilfiger, FC Barcelona, Zara, Chanel and others.

Goods are destroyed because they are produced in unclear conditions and materials can be dangerous to human health.
