Customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo BCP found a 5.6 kg golden jewelry for more than BGN 300,000

Customs officers at the Kapitan Andreevo prevented consecutive attempt to big contraband of gold. Golden jewelry was found in the factory cavity of Turkish bus, traveled from Turkey to Kosovo. Passengers did not declare any goods, precious metals or currency but the customs officers selected the bus for X-ray check. During the detailed check customs officers found in the factory cavity plastic bags with products made by yellow metal. From the hiding place are taken out 420 earrings, 407 chains, 312 rings, 172 bracelets, 126 medallions and 25 necklaces. According to the expert estimation jewelry with a total weight 5.676 kg are worth 306 505 BGN.

The jewelries and the bus were seized. The driver, Turkish citizen,is detained.

A pre-court proceeding was initiated on the case.
