Over 11 million pieces cigarettes without excise labels and 1.5 tons of smoking tobacco were destroyed



11 482 020 pieces cigarettes and 1.5 tons of smoking  tobacco were destroyed under control of the Svilengrad Customs House in the incinerators of Holcim Bulgaria in Beli Izvor.

Cigarettes and tobacco are with different brands and without Bulgarian excise labels. The tobacco products were seized by the officers of the Svilengrad Customs House from passengers passed through the Kapitan Andreevo BCP because they exceeding the duty-free import. Part of the cigarettes was seized by customs officers inside the country for violations of the Law on Excise Duties and Tax Warehouses Act.

This is the second procedure of destruction of tobacco by burning for this yesr. In the first procedure were destroyed over 10 million cigarettes.
